First I have to say thank you to spikefan for the lovely card that arrived this morning! :hugs::

I know this is probably not the best time for posting fic, but I thought that people might want a short respite from the christmas rush, so I'm posting anyway! :)

Lovely stuff. The Nina/Sam bonding, and the reminiscing about old times in Sunnydale, is all delightful.

This is a lovely piece. I am enjoying it so much, and am glad you didn't let the holiday stop your posting this part. Actually, I am having the time to read and post more at this time than in the past several months, so it was ideal for me.

I am looking forward to the rest of this story.

I (like most of Spike's fans quite likely) have an idea dealing with Sam/Riley and the entire demon egg story that has ben biting me on the ankle for about a year now. When I finally get off my bum and finish the other two stories I have partially in the process, I will get to it. Thankfully it is different enough from yours that I won't feel like sloppy seconds. It's been on my mind long enough it might even write itself.

Again, good read, as usual.

Oh, thank you for the nice comment!

And well, I know this story seems very Riley-centric, but it's not really about him as such (you'll see what I mean come the next chapter)!

And I'd love to see what you'd make out of the Sam/Riley thing!

(I currently have another WIP writing itself in my head, but there are so many other things I have to finish first, that goodness knows when I'll be able to write it.)

How did Spike find the Judge? He had a real knack for uncovering things that were supposedly lost for the ages back in the day, didn't he?
