It was SO GOOD to see Irish actors playing Irish characters and not Stage Irish or pretendy Americans or having an English person put on a dodgy Irish accent for the face time calls. And also being willing to challenge/call out the fact that the dude hung onto his exes' shit and only showed up the one day he knew Jeff wouldn't be working EVERY YEAR??? Thank you Chibnall for being the anti-Andrew Lincoln in Love Actually.
I spent the entire day today interspersing housework with the entirety of Flux and the New Years' Special and I liked the dynamic with the Fam but I really love Bishop's Scouse teasing and even his readiness to put the others ahead of himself while also asking what the hell is going on??? Yaz definitely lets Thirteen away with way too much, she's giving me Martha pining for oblivious Ten vibes, and that will not end well, I think.
JORTS! I love Jorts, you should watch youtuber Mark Narrations reading this one (I love youtubers reacting to Reddit stories) this guy is a professional and corpses many times in the reading of it. I am not following Jorts and Jean on Twitter.

I did NOT catch Pauline at all until the internet pointed it out.

So much. It all felt like it could have been straight out of Derry Girls, the Irish vibe was strong.

Yes, it was very nicely done. The whole 'Oh god are you a serial killer??' - because well, that was definitely an option.

I have never seen Love Actually, but am happy to give Chibnall points.

Oh wow, your brain must be goo!

Dan is delightful, and John Bishop is really good.

Yeah, it'll all end in tears. Not that Thirteen is hung up on someone else, she's just... Thirteen.

Sounds fab, might look it up. :)

They are awesome and very pro-Union!

My brain is very much goo, but I get why the Old Who would do 4-5 episodes to cover a single story, and I think more Flux/Time Lord Victorious type series could work really well. It is a shame we had such a long wait to get to this series but I'm glad we have more adventures with Thirteen coming. But yes, she's very Thirteen, trying to figure herself out while also trying to figure everything else out... I kind of get an aro vibe from her compared to Ten, Eleven and Twelve who all give me allo-ace vibes. *shrugs* Thirteen definitely does not know how to deal with Yaz's crush. But I love that Dan just straight up told her so she had no more plausible deniability. But those shippers will definitely be howling like the TenRose shippers.
Pauline McLynn: you either spot her instantly or spend ages wondering how you know that person XD

Ahhh, that does make more sense! :D

Flux might have tried to cram TOO many things into one (but rather that than the alternative *g*). I love the Classic Who format, so I'm there for multi-episode stories.

Two more Specials I think?

Oh yes, she's very... not into ANY of it. Ten & Eleven otoh - well, Ten was very much Teh Sex (at least in looks), but I'm not sure how much he actually slept around. Eleven was the one who was happily consuming his marriage repeatedly for many centuries! ^_^ Twelve I generally see as ace.

And I don't think Thirteen can do Ten's sad angsty eyes...
