Thank you, writer, for offering to write a thing!
(and yes, if you're here in 2016, I've pointed you at a letter from 2014 - honestly, nothing has changed in terms of what I like and don't like, and it seems silly to copy-paste)
That's really the core of it. Have fun. Please don't stress. I really hope whatever story happens is something you enjoy writing as much as I'll enjoy reading it.
Anyway, I went into pretty good detail (I think) in the signup re: the specific requests, but below is a mish-mash of additional info on what I generally like.
I should start by saying that I have a huge competency kink. People who get shit done because they're good at what they do make me incredibly happy.
Copy-pasted from every other year: If I were to toss out words to describe myself as a reader, they'd be something like: canon whore but enjoys thought-out AUs, plot lover, wants to see how the characters got to where you put them, sucker for smart humor, adores the give-and-take in co-worker relationships, believes sex is great but fic isn't all about it, doesn't need a sonnet but appreciates well-crafted words...and then I start realizing that I sound like an idiot, and would honestly love you for providing anything.
My top dislikes also haven't changed: Adultery, character bashing, misogyny, people being openly humiliated/embarrassed, incest, mpreg, genderswapping. And I don't worship angst or fluff just for themselves.
And if it will help, the last few years worth of fic (what there is, oy) and all of my past Yuletide stories are up on
AO3. The rest is available through my tags, so you can wander and get a feel for what I like from the writer end. You can also read the older stuff at my
site (hasn't been updated in years).
To close things out, thank you again!
