*sigh* I'm really looking forward to getting together and watching vids. Someday. I really wish I was doing that this weekend instead of what I'm doing.

While I'm selfish enough to want to introduce you all to the vids together, like we did last year, do you want me to drop your set off before you leave? I could come by tomorrow night.

And hee, your owls. I want to scritch them like I would Tigger if she were making that face, but I suspect that would bring out "I am RAPTOR, grrrargh."

Some owls apparently like to be scritched!* But neither of the great horned owls in my personal acquaintance do. It seems a great pity.

(*Theory: owls engage in preening behavior between mates, which is called allopreening. So they enjoy being groomed by others, in other words. I don't know if you remember at the owl show, but the woman who was holding the owls would sometimes ruffle their breast feathers and stuff. That reminds me that I really need to get those pics posted. And the saw-whets at least *seem* to find scritching their heads pleasurable.)
