Question

I posted this already in my writing LJ and my NaNo LJ so sorry if y'all have gotten this thing three times. Figured I'd use all my options to see what everyone might think. *sigh* Okay y'all, I am completely, thoroughly, utterly miserable with my NaNoWriMo story. I'm guessing it is because I took notes and figured out the ending before I started writing word one. I NEVER know how a story will end because of all the twists and turns my characters seem to take and they always lead me in bizarre directions. Well, I HATE my NaNo story. HATE IT! Have not been motivated much at all this week to write not including a horrible headache a couple of days where I couldn't look at my laptop and my notebook paper was really a really bright white and painful. *sigh* Now my back is hurting because we were cutting down this giant red oak tree yesterday for our outdoor wood stove. The bending/stacking/twisting/moving/turning just killed it. *sigh*

So, my question...since it turns out one of my three main characters is a writer, would it be wrong to say "putting pen to paper, Emma began writing, trying to forget her troubles in the real world and escaping to a happier place..." and then start writing something completely different so I don't have to scrap the word count I already have which just about killed me getting in the first place? I mean I have a really crappy word count, but they're words ya know? And she's a writer. In my NaNo she's already finished a children's story she was working for a couple of years that had her stuck. So it isn't like that is coming from out of left field. And periodically I can interrupt her story for her real life things to put in.

Is that NaNoCheating?

Peace, Love, and Giggles,
Deanna
