Okay, so maybe I have taken this the complete wrong way but I have to say that after reading this, Mischa Barton is definitely someone I never need to see again on tv or in the movies. Here's what came to the California_Here_We_Come yahoogroup...
Mischa Barton was far from surprised when her former series "The OC" was canceled recently, because ratings dropped significantly when she left the show.
The 20-year-old star played Marissa Cooper on the teen series. Her character died in a car accident at the end of the last season.
When asked if she was surprised that the show had been axed she told Fox News, "No. They killed me off."
When asked if she had been one of the main reasons that fans tuned into the show, she added, "That's what I think they discovered."
My response..."what an arrogant bitch" and I said that while forgetting my daughter was in the room. First of all, in order to fix what had been completely broken on the show, they had to kill Marissa or they would have had the same damn cycle of episodes this season as the last two. I LOVE this season. Personally I think people were so fed up with the last two seasons they don't care anymore and will not and have not given the show a chance at all this season. I don't know many people that say the show is worse with Marissa gone. I know quite a few people, myself included, that love this season...we're not getting the same storyline over and over. There's new stuff...there's new love, there's growth, there's laughter! My lord, I think Ryan has laughed more this season than the other three put together. He's not all broody and moody and saving Marissa from one awful guy or from a horrible situation she's gotten herself into and he's not trying to keep her sober. He's having fun, he talks to Sandy and laughs. He's Ryan Atwood with a side of sauce.
The OC being canceled only feeds her already large ego that she always seemed to have. She's thinking "I'm the only real change and now it's being canceled so it MUST be because of me." Does she not have a clue that it sucked so bad last season? So bad in fact that I didn't make a point to watch each and every episode half of the time. If I missed one, oh well. I just think back to the last season and poof, there was the episode I missed! *shakes head* Ya know, was she like this when she was on Once and Again? I mean if people love her so much why was she on in season three and that was the season it was canceled. If she's so great, she should have been able to save the show! sorry, now I'm just getting bitter. I'm done now...maybe...mostly...
OMG!!! I almost totally forgot to post this! IT'S SNOWING!!! *dances around the room* And you can't see our grass this time peeking out through the snow!! WOO HOO!!! The kids are even able to go out and play in it!! *dances around the room again* I am totally dressing warm tonight and going outside for a walk in the dark after everyone is asleep. Might even be able to work on my Mistletoe fic properly!! YAY!
