yay... i made the digital camera thing work!!! i'm so happy! thank you meredith for helping me fix this thing!
these are the mittens i'm currently working on. they're traditional european mittens - Latvian actually. the pattern looks beautiful knitted up - it just tends to be a pain in the ass because the needles i have to use are something near the size of toothpicks. go
here for a short background on the latvian mitten. there's also a scalloped edge on there, but since this picture is (obviously) pre - blocking, it keeps rolling up on itself. *sigh*
and here's the sweater i made myself to wear for christmas last year. it was a cotton sweater, so it's nice and warm, but it's HEAVY. and i was a bobble making queen by the end of this thing. there's probably about 500 or more of the things on this sweater. all over the front, back and both sleeves.
ok, so it's out of focus. i can deal with that. (note to self - take picutures in more well lit areas
the bobbles... and the beginnings of the collar
the cables. the miles and miles of cables. but it was such a great sweater to wear!
so it's back to knitting for a while. but before i go - here's my doggie!!!! HUGO!! so cute! every time i tried to get him to look at the camera by calling his name, he tried to walk up and eat the camera, so this was the best picture i could get. but he's still SO CUTE!
g'night!
