Can a word be trendy?
I'm getting really sick of "disingenuous". It's like the nation collectively learned a new word for "insincere" and can't stop using it.
Then again, I have my own favorite words. Most of all "soporific" which I learned from a Peter Rabbit book and have not stopped using copiously since.
It's just weird when nearly every article read somehow manages to stuff "disingenuous" into it. And it's definitely a new thing. It has become rather "ubiquitous", another of my favorite words.
