My chosen author was Michael Foucault, main reason being the lack of emphasis on him in Landow's text.
It was to gain a deeper insight into his views regarding hypertext, and to find out if it was linked to his idea of surveillance (Panopticon).
Not surprisingly, his theory of the Panopticon influenced his hypertext views, where he focused on the issue of "power and causality" as well as the placement of hierarchy and authority within texts. However, power, in the hypertext theory, is decentralised with "frontiers (of ideas) never clear cut" and acts as a "system of reference to other texts".
The whole idea behind the comic was to bring out this idea of decentralisation and interconnection of ideas.
This was why the main character, Emma, argues for the ownership of a game idea her friend came up with.
Since the beginning of an idea is never defined clearly, one cannot claim ownership directly.
Instead, she has to share it with their "gaming network", and make it accessible to other people, where it can be a link to other games.
The context would be one which focuses on an environment where people are not clear about interconnectivity, and how it can aid them by making more ideas available to each other.
