What She Said
Our beloved machshefa notes today that she, like several of, has been caught up in RL stuff that has made her lurk more than post, when the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune have become especially annoying and urgent and distracting. I have been much worse.
And yesterday, in the course of things, the ever-wonderful dickgloucester simply asked, "How are you?" at just the right moment to unleash a torrent....
And after I unloaded on her (she has the very best, most waterproof shoulder and the widest, warmest embrace), I, too, realized that this community, many of whom I have met perhaps once in person, feels like the safest place in the world to come for comfort. And yet I don't want to take advantage.
Just know when I am not unloading here, I am still reading and occasionally replying and taking great comfort in your continued presence, creativity, humor, warmth, and welcoming, nonjudgmental friendship. The last few months have been full, and when I have not had the time to share details, please know that I treasure each of you more than I have had time to say. Your presence has gotten me through a lot of stuff---good, bad, and just time-sucking.
