"I do not need to talk to anyone," Angela says, prompting Goliath and Elisa to share a look.
"Look, Angela," Elisa starts. "You do. Really. With everything that's gone down... You've got to let some of this out or you're going to explode. And since you won't talk to me, and you won't talk to Goliath, and hell, you won't even talk to Broadway

For now, it is all about Angela. "You do not even have to listen if you want, Angela. I do not want to force you into this."

"She was collecting artifacts to create a weapon. We would of had to stop her, even if she had attacked Faye or not."
"That was not your fault."

She sighs. "I wanted to believe there was hope for her. That she might someday learn to let go of her hate. That we might be able to be close."

"I do not believe she is gone, Angela. Just asleep. At peace. Like how your father was, for so many centuries. You got to remember, your mother did not sleep during that time, she has centuries of heartbreak. She has found her peace, for a while. I believe there will be a time when she will be able to awaken and greet you again."
"Do not stop believing in your hope. It is not lost."

She looks away. "Do you really believe she might come back someday?"

"That goodness... the one you wanted so much to see in her... you will see it. I predict after you have hatched your own children, that you will have a daughter that remind you very much of Demona."
"And you will be able to give her... and your mother... the happiness that she deserved. The love she desired. The family she once lost."
"Heck..." Harley smiles, "you have been in the Nexus. Do not be surprised if an alternate Demona comes to your door one day. I believe she is happy. And I know with all my heart she would want you happy as well."

A tear traces its way down Angela's cheek. "I do not believe I could hope for more. It will be a long time before there will be any children hatched, but by then... I will be ready. And I will be waiting, to share that love."
This prompts a small, if somewhat sad, smile from her. "I do not know if I would be able to handle another version of mother. Elisa says she has met some, one of them she even called a friend. It gives me hope."
"But you are right. Her last words... were telling me to be happy. She would not want me to feel this way. She would not wish for me to carry this guilt."
Reply
"Continue to have hope. Let it fill your heart and keep you strong. Remember her last words to her and I would recommend talking to her. She just might hear you through the stone. Visit her. She is your mother."
She draws back her hand, "and remember, you are not alone in understanding her and wanting her to have her hope and happiness. I wished the same for her. I think I was wrong... about connecting myself to Fox."
"I think... I connected to your mother better."

Angela gives her a curious look. "You think you are connected to my mother? I am afraid I do not understand."
Reply
"I can understand her madness, from the pain and suffering she had endured. I might not have had a century of mistakes, but I have made mistakes. Big ones."

Angela nods. "I know you have had a hard life, Harley. But Elisa tells me you are making smart choices now. And... you helped mother. I do not fully understand her choice, but I know that much. For that I am grateful."
((have to take a break fo dinner now, but I will be back.))
