Which was just beginning to get underway in the Great Hall and the courtyards of the castle, with only a few guests in attendance so far.
There was Goliath, in his Arthurian costume, Lex in pilot gear. Brooklyn and Katana were Han Solo and Princess Leia, respectively. And Broadway was, naturally, Aladdin. Albeit Gargoyle versions there of, of course.
"Well," Angela said, "how do I look?"
Dropped jaws made for such an interesting response.

"What?" she asked, innocently, "is there something wrong with my costume?"
"No... It looks fine, but you... I... you..."
She went over to him and planted a kiss on his lips. "It is just for tonight. A little trade between Jubilee and myself."
"Gotta admit," Lex said. "You look good." It was more addressed to Jubilee, so he hastily amended with, "Bot of you."

"Ah, yeah," Broadway said, still perhaps just a little perplexed by everything. "Me and Lex and Angela were gonna hit downtown. Buncha the stores are doing Halloween give-aways and stuff."

"You will be careful, of course," Goliath said. "From what Elisa has said, there is much mischief about this night."
Elisa slapped him playfully on the arm. "They'll be fine, Big Guy. Broadway and Lex can handle anything that comes up. And I wouldn't count Jubes or Angela out of anything either."
He seemed satisfied by this. "Then by all means, go and have... fun."

Elisa put a hand to her forehead, trying to figure out whether to laugh or be faintly motherly. "And this, children, is why we plan ahead."
"Well," Broadway said, "I can carry Angela..."
"And those wings gotta work," Lex said.

"I know, I know, I'm giving you a hard time, Big Guy."
"I'd say you should give it a try," Puck chimed in, finally sharing his own opinion. "The way the spell works, you should do okay. ...I think."
