I'm awful! I never realize how much time goes by between my posts. I am on this journal every day. I read everyone's posts, stories and comment but I never write. Sometimes at work, in the middle of the day, I take the time to read some of your wonderful writing. The last time I wrote a woman at my office had just passed on. Since then I've had a car accident, my son broke his leg and needed surgery, we've moved house, my youngest son started college, my two daughters visited - one from Florida and one from Alaska, I've taken three business trips................Well, you get the idea. I should write in here every day. All of you are so faithful in sharing your lives. I must say all the wonderful posts and stories I read really help me get through a lot.
One other thing - I spent a lot of time working on Obama's campaign and I am sooooo happy. I can't believe we actually have some hope for a new future in this country. I am 60 - so living through the Civil Rights movement made me think we would never see this day. I've been working on women's rights for 30 years and my next goal is to see a woman president in my lifetime. All you young women out there - keep the faith and work toward this next goal. Next post I promise to tell you about a great women's organization out there that could really use your help and support. And I'll do it soon - not 6 months from now!
