I've been to the downtown L.A. library. It's huge! I don't remember how many floors, but it would be hard to pack the place. The parking situation isn't very convenient there, either. Maybe people prefer the smaller libraries, where parking is free and it's easier to find things.

wow, what a bang-up little editorial of your own! Yesterday I was at a nearby library looking for audio-books, and there was a sign at the entrance that said something to the effect of 'don't be bothered by the noise coming from the Xboxes - this is after all, a library.' Really?? So we are not even pretending to ask people to ask their "indoor voice" anymore?

Anyway, welcome back to the blogosphere. Gives me something to look forward to! (and not just 'cause you made me pseudo-famous a couple posts ago.)

Any trip I've made to the children's section of the library this year has been marked by lots of parents with their kids.
