060108: Politik
It seems that it's pretty much been a Coldplay day to me today. So I guess, it's quite fitting to choose the song of the day from the band as well.
Politik (*) is "teh Coldplay song" for me and also the reason why I started to dig the band originally. And why Politik?? I think it's one of the most intense songs I know. So awesome.
070108: No Sleep
This Monday has been very gloomy and a bit unreal one, like I've been under the water whole day. One of the reasons why I'm feeling this way must be really the lack of decent sleep. Haven't zzz well for weeks. So the song, which fits to the day's theme, must be Sam Roberts' No Sleep. :)
And now I'm off to catch some zzz. Hope Mr. Sandman visits me this night.
080108: An Honest Mistake
(I like how the date looks like.)
They say "errare humanum est", and that you should learn from your mistakes. Live and learn and all that stuff. So for all my mistakes so far, and for the ones, which I haven't made yet, I take a pause and go make myself a cup of coffee now, and then will think about my latest mistake while listening this very cool song by The Bravery. It's called - surprise, surprise - An Honest Mistake.
090108: Getting Away
I'm on my work mode now, and planning to be that till the end of the month. You know, trying to be a responsible student here, for once. But work mode requires certain kind of music, and the genre, which has proved to be "the one" for that purpose, is trance. I usually go to this site Digitally Imported Radio and choose either Trance or Vocal trance channel, and keep listening that while I'm working. So the song of the day should be "work mode" music and one good example of that is Getting Away (*). My other favs from The Politics of Dancing 2 (disc 1) are The Unknown and Closer Now, but sadly they can't be found from last.fm, which is major failure, IMO... but get your hands to the album, and you get all those plus other cools songs. Anyways, I think it's time to get back to work now.
100108: Chop Suey
I feel dead tired, and I'm not near finishing my latest assignment. And due is tomorrow. Well, today's music has been more versatile compared to yesterday. I've been "re-connecting" with songs, I haven't heard for long time. One example of the old flames in that sense is Chop Suey. I ♥ System of a Down, it's just awesome. And the song, that's the best SOAD song eva.
100108 extra: Symphony of Destruction
Took a small nap and now I'm ready to get back to work again. And what else would be a better song to get things started than Megadeath's Symphony of Destruction?? So there. Extra song for this day just sake of the fact that it is such a fine tune. Also it reminds me of my friends back in Finland.
110108: Limassol
Oops, Friday came and went, and I have spent all night in the campus doing my assignment.
Anyways, one of the songs, which just seems keeps playing in my head nowadays is Limassol. Haven't checked out yet, is Maxïmo Park's other stuff as good as this tune, doubt that, since the song is quite perfect. Don't know what Limassol means in the song though... but it's a city in Cyprus. :P
120108: Walk Away
Saturday was pretty weird day, it felt like Friday all day. The song, which I kept listening, was Kelly Clarkson's Walk Away (Ralphi Rosario Run Don't Walk Dub).
Some people prefer original songs, and think that mixed versions are not that good. IMO, it's usually the other way, and here's once again an example of a song, which sounds so much better as a mixed version. The original version, don't like it a bit. It's boring, but this one is quite cool. Ralphi Rosario really did a good job with it.
130108: Knives
The year was 1995 and the city was Lahti.
I was studying there, and one of my classmates introduced me this extra cool band called Therapy?.
For me it was the love from the first chord.
The band still rocks my world, and one of the best tracks is Knives.

140108: Roots Bloody Roots
I don't do past, but somehow recently my thoughts have turned to my years in 1994-1998. That was somewhat quite special time in my life. It was time for carefree studying, meeting lot of new people, and living in five! different cities. It was time for deep sorrow: my mother past away in 1997, but it was also time for the great love: I met two "the love of my life" people in that time. These people still exist in my life, but now as friends.
The track of the day is strongly related to "the love of my life" person, who I met back in 1994.
