Yes, I have not been flooded out yet, and if I don't get any rain any time soon, there's no danger for me to get flooded out... So, I can finnally rest at ease for the moment... Hooray ^_^...
I finished Lolita, yes it took me long enough, but I did it.... So I've started reading Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire... I've already been reading his Wicked and I have to say that I have a weakness for fairytale revisionings, so I'm really looking forward to reading this one... Despite how awkward I feel carrying it around in public... Ah well, I managed to carry around Lolita without too much guff ^_^.... (ooh, reminder to self.... Buy Lo's Diary ... Yes...)
I watched Religilous today, if only because I like Bill Maher, and I thought it would be interesting to see a movie taken as an intelligent source promoting aethism while most of the aethist promoters turn out to be huge assholes who're just being awfull people about it... Overall, Maher handled himself well, but I still don't think he's winning anyone over... His intelligent speech at the end was too late, by this time in the movie the Christian viewer wouldn't be putting up with Maher's sometimes... Overwhelming presence, let's say... Overall, he makes good points... If only he knew how to deliver them without offending people...
Also... The Preorder for Marilyn Manson's new album "the High End of Low" is expected to be going through today... I can't wait... The delux edition... With a whole bonus disk with more songs on it... *melts* .... God, I can't stand the wait.... Not only that, but my mom said I could pick any MM shirt from the site that I wanted... Just as a gift... I about freaked out entirely... Now, I've got a tough decision to make... The Marilyn and TWIGGY shirt ^_^, the old-school Portrait shirt, or the fresh new High End of Low shirt... I can't choose T_T....
