Direct Sale- Skirts
Unless otherwise stated, they were all made by my grandmother's brother (my great uncle?) Simon Sorr. He was a fashion designer and would pay off his debts to my grandparents by making clothes for my grandmother. These skirts are all from the 40's and 50's. None of them are newer than that. They are all original, vintage, and you will never see another. All of these skirts have a very streamlined shape to them. They are mostly high waisted (although they sag a little on my 22" waisted dress form). The pencil skirts are the type that Marilyn Monroe made famous as "wiggle" skirts. There are also very flattering A line skirts. I accept paypal only. Unless otherwise stated, shipping will be $8 per skirt, but I will combine shipping. Some I'm hesitant to part with, so I may remove them from this post. Although they will likely never fit me. My grandmother always had a perfect figure, so unfortunately for me these skirts are all very small. Waist sizes range from 25"-30". Unless otherwise stated, these skirts are in impeccable condition.
Grey/Blue Wool Houndstooth Skirt $20
This skirt is a really flattering shape. It has 2 pockets over the hips to accentuate the hips. There is a small hole over the pelvis area (white dot in photo).

Dark grey skirt with tubing on the pockets $50
This skirt is unique in that it has what looks like plastic tubing detail on the pockets. The pockets are on the hips to accentuate the hips.

Multicolor Stiped wool skirt $40
This skirt has wide grey stripes with multicolored stripes inbetween. Also has pockets on the hips to accentuate the hips.

This is a very figure flattering A line shape.

This skirt only has one pocket, but it is functional.
This has a tag stating 100% Pure Wool. It is a very soft finished wool though, feels like cotton. It was not made by my great uncle. Waist= 28" Hips= 38" Length= 30"

This skirt is so cute! It has really interestingly shaped pockets on the hips.

This skirt is so pretty. It has darts in the rear that adds a great shape when walking

This skirt looks 50's to me. It is a grey and red plaid with pockets on the hips.

Wool Wine colored skirt $40
This one did not photograph well. This is actually a very deep burgundy wine color. Not at all pink. It does not appear to be sitting well on the model either. Rest assured, this has the streamlined 1940's shape to it.

Brown Beaded Poodle Skirt $100
This is the 1950's full skirt that is often referred to as a "Poodle Skirt". There is no poodle on this. What there is, is hand sewn glass beads.
The beads are sewn in a kind of a vine pattern

This skirt is so cool. It has a dart in front reminding me of a victorian riding skirt. It has very pretty detailing at the bottom.
