This is great. Well-written, and very believable. Love the Pepa-DL bonding. Wish the show had at least tried to follow up Silvia's death with something like this. This is not a plot I enjoy reading, but you certainly sell it well. :-)

I know this isn't the most popular topic to take on, so I appreciate it!

The Pepa/DL relationship is one I certainly thought they dropped the ball on. One of the best things to come out of PepSi other than PepSi was how Pepa and DL eventually came to an understanding and to a place of respect. And other than the epi when Pepa came home, they largely ignored it. And I happen to think they'd have been there so much for each other that first year and beyond.

the Don Lorenzo Pepa lunch date was AWESOME well played. LOVE the last line of Pepa “Castros, in particular, seem to like to remind me of that.”

Ha ha ha - Silvia's tendency to get exasperated (esp. w/ a certain brunette) had to come from SOMEWHERE, and in this case, the apple didn't fall far from the tree. There's something about Pepa that can needle a Castro like no tomorrow. (And yet, they secretly love it!)

Just from that one lunch where Pepa won't let him have his wine, you just KNOW she dedicated herself to DL's strict diet from then on, and he probably couldn't sneak in so much as a French fry after that. I'm willing to bet she had informants at all his favorite haunts. But he also probably put up with it b/c now he hearts Pepa. :)

K, first, I want to say, I was not, I repeat not, trying to recruit, LG. It's just, she was sniffling! Sniffling! That's dang close to crying! I thought the pitchfork thing would make her laugh, not join my mo- er... what? I didn't say anything... er... Nope, did not. I don't like violence! I write smut for gosh sakes. Second, I like to say that I'd like to choose BadAssNun!Pepa! *nods and drools* I have a thing for their uniform. I'm sick, I know, I've been told already.

It's possible they're gonna become more than friends.

Sooo...if I get you a certain BAN!Outfit, will you put down that burning torch I see behind your back that you're rather unsuccessfully trying to hide? You can do whatever you want with it. I won't ask any questions. Do we have a deal?

Also, I'm sorry your weekend was crap! :( A frolick in the BAN!Outift might help you out of your funk. And it can be yours should you agree to the terms above....Think about it.
