And the Rainbow Award goes to:

1 (tie) Elliott DeLine - I Know Very Well How I Got My Name

An author to watch, there were moments of delightful brilliance in this book. (Cherie)
It was great to get a transgender character, and the voice felt real. (Cassandra)

1 (tie) L.A. Witt - The Left Hand of Calvus

Hands down this is one of the best things I've read this year... no, better make that this decade. Absolutely love this book. Brilliant, simply brilliant! (Cherie)
L.A. Witt spun a wonderful mystery set within the gladiator arena at the pinnacle of the Roman Empire. Skullduggery, extortion, and fighting made for a good tale, and kept the pages turning quickly. (Venona)

Runners Up:

2. Sassafras Lowrey - Roving Pack
3. Grigory Ryzhakov - Becoming Agie
