From reading this entry and pfodge's journal, I wish either (a) I would become independently wealthy in 60 seconds, or (b) I could have two lives: one for my RL, and one for all the reading I'd like to do, both books nad e-books.

Thank you for writing about this book and the series. I will take a look for the early ones in the series!!

What's the central conflict of this story? The characters and setting sound interesting, but what's the plot actually about?

Well the main problem is that Bear has a slight heart disorder which can compromize his Football career, but he can imagine his own life without being a Football pro, cause his father grew him up with that idea.

Maybe the reason why I have a strange feeling on this book is cause I was expecting a big conflict and this one is not what I was expecting.

Yes, that sounds kind of light for more than a short story, but if the writer made it work, good for her. :)
