"To decide the ranking I chose to consider the owned copies on LibraryThing..."

Was there no way to include the ratings? Because I use LibraryThing, and I own/or have read heaps of gay books that I've given 1 star ratings (including many from the beginning of that list)--only a few make it to a "top" five star rating.

Or is this a list of most well known (top known?), or best marketed, not best quality? I suppose that's a YMMV thing. Lol.

Well, I considered that, if you didn't like a book, you probably didn't own it anymore. Sure, you probably add to LibraryThing all books you read, owned or not owned, but then I had to choose something. If you want to consider the above a Top Known, yes, you can say that ;-) that is why this is a Top and not Best list.

Nope, I keep all my ebooks, even the 1-star ones. (But I only reread or think about the 5-star ones. Maybe I should do a bit of e-cleaning, eh?)

But anyway, I'm glad you made this list--thank you!--it gives me heaps of reading suggestion! <3

truth be told, it's easier for me to maintain with the Top/Owned criteria ;-) maybe next year I will think to do maybe a separate list with the Best (5 star?)
