Increasing the Value of Reputation

So... having big responsibilities for two shows at the same time... is not the best thing to go through everyday.

Right now I'm enduring the duties of Props Master for the current mainstage production at OWU, and Assistant Stage Manager for a senior project. I'm literally running back and forth between the 2 theatres for hours on end. It's exhausting.

This is how a normal day looks right now:

10-12: Class
12-1: Production meetings wednesday and friday
1-4: Class
4-6: Search for, construct, paint, alter, and repair numerous props.

6-9: Set in on rehearals as ASM for the senior project (marking blocking and other notes from the director) and when I get breaks during those rehearals, I run to the other theatre to see how the mainstage rehearsals are going.

9-9:30: talk with the mainstage show director on what props look good, what we need to get done, and any additions he has made to the props list.

ugh. So much work.

I like the props work, because I've been learning new things. But the ASM stuff is really getting to me. I didn't even ask for the position. The stage manager just asked me to do it. So I said yes.

I figure I'm just trying to build up a great reputation within the department my freshman year, so that in the future I can say: "give me this position because look what I've done previously.
"

The shows are almost done... so that's good.

I'm really looking forward to going back home. I need to get a job, and earn as much money as I can. To the good 90 degree summer weather. Sunny all the time in Cali. Here in Ohio it's like: cloudy, cloudy, cloudy, cloudy, rain, rain, sunshine, snow, cloudy, rain, snow, sunshine, F-ING BLIZZARD, sunshine! C'mon Ohio! What's the matter with you? You're messing with are heads here.

One person describes the Ohio seasons as such: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, Construction.
