I tried a new cafe this morning.
Sherbet is more a bakeshop than a cafe, but I had a very tasty coconut granola for breakfast, layered with rhubarb and berry compote and tangy natural yoghurt. Yum.
I must return soon to sample some of the cakes because most of them looked amazing. The cupcakes appeared a little disappointing, mainly because they weren't loaded with the generous swirls of frosting I associate with the cupcake bakeries of New York, but then again, the taste of the cake and frosting may be superior. Something to put to the test later...
I did buy a very generous piece of Salted Chocolate Caramel Slice to share with C this evening, so I will get to sample their baking that way. And next visit I will try a homemade muffin as they looked spectacular. As did the scones which were the size of a small cat. Seriously.
