Crazy busy and I want a nap.

The new house is wonderful. We are pretty much totally moved in, but not even close to being unpacked. The wee beasties are getting used to navigating slicker floors. So far only Mim has wiped out.

Mim love the view from the window box.

The kitties are all doing well. I need to move their kitty condo into the living room, which should help on the territorial couch issues. And a cheap area rug on the floor.

All we need to fix is the fridge and stove situation and the place is perfect. Yoda's dorm fridge is getting us thru for now, but the lack of ability to cook is frustrating. At least the microwave works and I have a crock pot, but that is very limiting.

We still need to clean the old apartment out, which we should be able to knock out on a day. Especially with Icka's help.

Health seems to be doing OK despite the cooking situation. I still hate snacking. Hate it! But I'm doing it. I've lost ~15# in the past month. More importantly my energy levels are much better.

But I still hate snacking.

Kung fu is going well. This month we are focusing on weapons. I've discovered that I rather like straight sword. Not that I'm going to tell the black belts this after all my stubbornness.

Jogging is... Well.... It's going. With the move I put off training for a week. My first day back on schedule put me back to 15 mpm vs the 13:30 mpm. I've managed to get back down to 14:30 mpm, but it's not pretty.

At the end of my jog yesterday I wanted to cry. I'm frustrated. I'm pushing myself as much as I can without putting myself at risk of an injury and I'm so damn slow! Other than just embracing the suck and keep trudging along there isn't much I can do.

This weekend Stacy and I are doing a 5k fun run at Winterhaven. I'm dressing up as a sugar plum fairy.

I shall be a glorious sugarplum fairy!

Art is going well. Bridget has been joining me in drawing live nude models at the Open Sketch. It's a little daunting drawing next to a professional, but she's always encouraging and helpful when I'm stuck.

This model is one of my favorites!

She-Beast gifted me some new art supplies that I can't wait to try out this weekend!

Plus, there is scribble stuff. I've done calligraphy on two scrolls. Woot? Achievement unlocked! And my last scroll painted up beautifully.

Her name is Lola! Look at those glorious feathers!

Knitting is back on the menu soon. I have a dead fish hat to finish for Icka, there is a scarf I want to make for Stacy for Xmas, and I have the most gorgeous shawl yarn and pattern from Ianuk that I can't wait to make!

The work in progress!

Beyond that... Nothing going on.
