Bank Holidays...
Are hard work but awesomely good fun!!
Did I mention yet how much I like working in a busy busy pub? Because its BLOODY fantastic - no wage percentages to worry about and an army of staff so you are never doing everything yourself, Im even happier in my work than usual.
So today we had a meatloaf tribute outside on an opened up dray (beer delivery) wagon and it was just FANTASTIC (despite the miserable neighbours we had ringing up and complaining about the noise... ffs at 4 in the afternoon, not like we were waking them up or anything! but ha TENS licence says YES so go away!) Anyhows back on subject the guy who was meatloafing called Andy had a fab rock voice and was just a really really good singer.
Outside was fulled to bursting with the BBQ and inside was just as mental on the bar where I was trapped with my nine other staff and we were still 3 deep for over an hour. There was a moment when me and Chris (my under-manager) had a worried discussion about whether we were going to completely run out of change as all the 50pences and twenty pences were gone out the safe - somehow it didnt come to that THANK GOODNESS.
But yes, altogether too much fun!
And tommorow Im going back to have a nosy at my old pub now its been refurbed and see what it looks like. Looking forward to seeing my old staff as well, miss them loads and though I get plenty of messages on facebook and calls to my phone, its just not the same as seeing them every day.
