I'm baaack!

After an unexpected hiatus from the interwebs (soul-crushing full-time j-o-b, an injury of sorts, busy social life, computer woes), I am back!

I picked up World of Warcraft again. It was nice to have time away from the game, but I'm glad to be back in Azeroth. I missed my characters, and it's a blast to learn how to play all over again. I joined a new guild a couple days ago, and in spite of the incorrectly-spelled guild name (tends to be a red-flag in my book), I'm enjoying myself with them so far. It's a tiny, fledgling guild that doesn't have a lot of experience, but so far they seem fun, social, and active most of all (at least 2 people when I log in daytime, upwards of 7 during nights, which is a vast improvement from my last one).

My first dungeon back was a nightmare! We didn't make it past the first trash pull. I wanted to ease back into instancing, since that's the reason I left in the first place, so I wanted something fairly simple. I asked Hubbs to put us in for regular Stonecore, but I was doing dailies and didn't realize he accidentally put us in for HEROIC Stonecore. First pull, we wipe, and to make a long story short, the group falls apart. As I'm re-entering the instance, I notice it's Heroic and start freaking out a little. We drop group, he puts us in for regular Halls of Origination, we get a wonderful group (one of those Silent-But-Deadly ones), no deaths, and I'm not on the bottom for DPS.

I had surgery on my foot last Tuesday, and I'm off work for a few months to recover.

I'm stuck on the couch for probably another 2 or 3 weeks, so it gives me plenty of time to play games, read, and catch up with the internet at large. Since my job involves me on my feet and mobile all day long, I get lots of time off to recoup, Unfortunately, it's unpaid time off, since my job sucks, but it's a much-need break from work and stress and customers and problems. I seriously was on the verge of ragequitting my job, but I'm determined to study my craft, and go back into it with a different attitude. Unless something better comes along, I plan to be at this job until March at least.

But for now, I'm at home, on crutches, with orders not to put weight on my left foot, which is in a massive cast boot. It still starts hurting with any real prolonged movement, and I can't get around very well on my crutches. Of course my computer is upstairs, along with my bedroom, so I'm camped out downstairs on my laptop (you know, the one with the burned-out graphics card).

I can't use my laptop for gaming, but I can definitely watch movies on it and surf the internets. I plan on rewatching the entire Sailor Moon anime series, movies, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in the next few months in anticipation of the BRAND NEW SAILOR MOON ANIME BEING RELEASED IN 2013! I am so excite!

Also, Adult Swim programming has gone to crap.

sm, gaming
