second day of school is way less cool than the first.

for those of you who don't already know, it was pointed out to me today that all of the really big guys sitting in the back of my geology class are football players, and one of them is the great anthony mix. i plan to make him my lab partner and we will become best friends, so let me know if you want to meet any of the other team members, cause i'm sure me and anthony can hook you up.

reed said that today in his statistics class, their teacher, who was trying to be hip and cool, i guess, used "crack rocks smoked" as a unit of data in a statistical problem. i'm just happy for the folks in his class that he is down with what's cool with the kids these days...

on days like this, i pity my friends who go to schools in colder regions, like ohio or boston. cause the high in auburn today was 74, and it was wonderful. a perfect world would be a world where winter only lasts for maybe a month, and in that month it snows a whole lot, everywhere, and then as soon as the month is over, it is immediately 75-80, and baseball season could start right away. that would be amazing.

speaking of baseball season. if any of you have millions of dollars just burning a hole in your pockets, and are sitting there thinking "gees, what can i do with all of these millions of dollars?" i have the perfect opportunity for you. i'm starting a fund soon called "save the atlanta braves", and it entails saving america's favorite team from none other than aol/time-warner. i promise it is a worthy cause. the money you donate will go towards bringing back such needed players as catcher javy lopez, right fielder j.d. drew, and third baseman vinny castilla, and that awesome guy charles thomas. we would also use the money to raise the salaries of such worthy and wonderful players as the venerable marcus giles and the youthful and talented nick green (who will not take marcus' place, but serve as a utility player.) we might even try to get randy johnson himself to come down to the south, because everyone knows he doesn't want to play for the tools, cough, i mean, yankees, and we could use another great pitcher... anyhow, checks can be sent to 209 dunn hall.

today when krisan was bringing in her groceries, a boy that she did not know was walking by. upon seeing her hands full, he put down what he was carrying, opened the door for her, and offered to get the rest of her bags out of the car and carry them in. that is one of the many reasons why people want to live in the south forever, and never leave. boys, those are the standards you need to uphold. along with the winking thing that you all know i am a fan of.

by the way, go see "the life aquatic with steve zissou", because it is truly great.

stay classy, san diego.
