I am now married, whatever that means. (aka, parent's won't be bothered by us living together, or moving across country to be together.)
the wedding went off well, the officiant, a longtime family friend who happens to be a lawyer, led the ceremony, which was nice and short. i escorted my father, had a 'handfasting' and exchanged rings. and used my own wedding march.
the flowers were thrown, up up up and into a friend who had sworn she didn't want to catch them.
the cake was eaten and in a clean manner.
the sparkling cider was toasted in, I believe, 5 words.
swords were drawn. pictures taken. blood spilt. all in good fun...and yes profuse apologize given. for more info see ronekiln or nuin, they can tell it better.
good friends were seen and enjoyed.
and horses stood beautifully as lawn decor.
gifts were openned, thank you's to ensue.
seattle was visited along with a very well painted jeep, devoid of the extra ribbon it had also been given. thank goodness they had abstained from shoes and tin cans, too.
victoria was reached though not for the lack of the border trying to detain us. idiots cutting in and a full car search were an interesting addition to our adventure.
we visited teh royal and wax museums, saw the castle, and walked in and back out of the empress. for all the planning, it wasn't worth $100 or so to drink tea.
pretty draft horses seen, but not used, not when i have one's to see and play with for free.
irish pubs visited.
and darth vader as a fiddler.
now we are back, the house is as clean as we have the power to make it, and we have filed an application for a rental. maybe i will stop this need to move every 6 months.
