questions and answers

1) I understand that in today's information age, there are lots of ways to express yourself online. So I'm asking anyone that still reads this and would like me to be able to follow their life, please tell me the means by which I should do so. In other words, if you update facebook more than anything else, tell me to watch your facebook page. I'd like to keep up with you people but I feel like a lot of you have migrated away from LJ. If some of you would like me to be able to follow but not the rest of the world, tell me what I should check in an email.

2) I wanted to write about the Chevy Volt concept. I think it seems like a great concept, only I wish they could make the electric go further. 40 miles doesn't get me far when I have to drive home to north carolina (600+ miles). And it's not like a camera battery where you can just keep another car battery on hand to swap out if the first battery loses charge. I don't think I could change a 400 lb. battery anyway.

3) I've been reading Mark's LJ entries. They are entertaining. On a side note to him mentioning yahoo, I had to log into my yahoo email tonight and I thought "does anyone still use yahoo email/chat? what percentage of people use yahoo chat vs. other chat programs? Which chat client (or should I say protocol? I don't know what I'm talking about here) has the most users?" Then I thought maybe Mark will grace his presence in my journal and answer what he knows of my questions. *crossing my fingers*

4) It's august already. Oi. I am looking for a house, but it's just a half-search type of thing. If I find something I like I'll go after it, if not I won't buy anything. Sadly $8,000 is a nice incentive... I won't save that much money in 2-3 years... which is how long I could already have owned a house if I bought one now.

5) Chris and I went to the IN State Fair last weekend. I think he might have just tolerated it for my sake ;-) I got to see all the animals and some neat art pieces and photography. I'll be going to the NC state fair again in Oct. when I come home. I'll also be coming home in Sept. for a certain someone's wedding... yay!
