I have almost survived my first week of real medical school. All I have to do is make it through Histology lecture and lab tomorrow. The BIG stuff starts next week though - anatomy lab! I'm worried about how I'm going to handle it, but I guess we'll just have to see.
Dave is moving in on Saturday. Oh my. Excitement and nervousness simultaneously. I guess this is actually a pretty big deal.
Mostly I just want to see him. I don't like separation at all. And, since I know Dave is one of maybe 4 people who actually reads this thing: Hi love! I miss you! See you soon! mwah!
I bought a stethoscope yesterday. MY stethoscope. Yes, it's true, I'm really going to be a doctor. It kinda just hit me. I know I should have had this realization as I was applying to med school, but it doesn't really sink in until you start talking about patient interviews and how to take multiple pulses. I'm going to be a DOCTOR. Dr. Elise Peterson. Well, technically, Dr. Elise Peterson, M.D., Ph.D. (perhaps Dr. Dr. Peterson? hehe) Oh that feels so impressive... now I just have to wait 8 years to ever see it in print again.
Well, goodnight for now. Good luck to everyone starting or resuming their studies!
