Between Nader running for prez and Bush backing an amendment to ban gay marriage, it is very hard to be an optimistic voter and a proud American today. Nader has good ideas but running to make a statement and potentially hurting the Democratic ticket? What the hell is he thinking? As one Democrat put it in the Seattle Times, "Ralph Nader is a good man and I would hate for him to be painted historically as the man that got us 8 years of Bush." All I know is that I would vote for a monkey as the Democratic candidate if it got Bush out of the White House.
