At this point, the Eevee is blocking Maes' view of the 'Gear, so just listen to his voice in the background. ]

The Eevee's not moving. If anything, she's becoming more interested in the screen with each wave of the old man's hands. Maes, however, easily picks her up and plops her down in his lap. She doesn't seem to mind the new position, especially since this means more petting.

He's petting her head with one hand, and leaning in with another picture of Elicia in his other hand. "Bubbly-looking creature? Oh, you mean her? She's my daughter!"

... He's not going to have to explain where babies come from, is he?

Everypony? But if Maes noticed the strange terminology, he doesn't react to it.

Instead, he's stifling through his album and finding another picture -- this time, she's in a bathing suit and playing in a tiny kiddy pool -- and practically thrusts it up to the screen. "Because! I have the world's most beautiful little girl. She's just so precious, there's no way I couldn't share that with the world! One look at her, and your worries will disappear!"

Yeah... had he mentioned that he'd gotten an entire album for Christmas...?

Either way, you're about to find out just how many pictures he has. In fact, Maes is pulling out yet another picture for you to look at. Actually, no, scratch that. He's pulling out three at the same time. They're all of the same little girl; she's doing various activities, having a tea party, riding a tricycle, and running around.

"Oh! I'm so glad you agree. She's really smart, too! Not really a surprise, considering her parents!"
