Friday afternoon of a long weekend! Woo!
I just spent eight mind numbing hours at a 'welcome to the jungle' IFRS information session. A whole day of international financial reporting standards is a bit much, and seriously, when even the GAAP geeks are bored, you know its bad. But now we know better what to expect and just how ugly it's going to be to get to where we need to be January 1, 2011, and its PD points, so all is good. \o/
I watched the SPN season final with one eye, it was pretty horrifying. And I feel strangely detached from it right now, and have since Long Distance Call. I think part of it is because I don't like John and can't say I'm too crazy about his boys when he's around either. I think the other part of it may be that I was terrified of how things were going to work out and was distancing myself from it. I'm gonna wait a few days and then rewatch the final three episodes, should be better With some distance.
It seems all of my TV shows are finishing out the strike-shortened season with death and destruction.
So I have a few hours of work to do tonight, and then I am off for the next week. Yay! I've got some Indian takeout, butter chicken, saag paneer, rice and enough naan to choke a goat, and my brand new, shiny Torchwood series one DVDs. Life is grand!
