Wow I haven't posted in like a month, lazy bitch.
It isn't that I haven't had anything to say but it's all been ranty and more than likely, crazy.
Ye' old Naturopath put me on a new supplement/protein powder which is soy based, which, hello! autoimmune-based-thyroid problem here. But he assured me that it was 'super high quality' and shouldn't affect me in any way.
Yeah, right.
Enter Dr. eli and Mr. bad. Some idiot driving down the road, nattering on their cell phone sent me into a rage, getting my curtains caught in the patio door had me crying uncontrollably for an hour, and fan fiction that would normal not phase me, triggered both rage and tears.
Stupid soy. Stupid estrogen-mimicking-isoflavens messing with my hormones. Like I don't get enough of that just getting out of bed in the morning. Bastards.
Been off it for a couple of days and starting to feel slightly more human. Another week or so and I fully expect to be back to my only slightly psychotic self as apposed to this full blown version I've been living with for the last little while.
One of my rages was over the whole 'bad woman/misogynist' thing that swept lj earlier in the summer. Attacking someone who disses a female character and calling them a misogynist, even if you have a valid point, is counter productive, and really, a case of pot calling the kettle black.
Defending Elizabeth's right to be uncertain about who she wants to be with, fine. But honestly, would any of these people defended Will's right to the same thing if he had been the one stretching his sexual legs, not bloody likely. More probably lots of 'cheating bastard' 'pig' and other gender-based epithets would have been flung about with impunity. Get bent.
I also practically stroked out over shipper weirdness when HP7 came out and the 'harmonians' went ape-shit. It's not that I don't get wanting canon to be a certain way, but being completely blind and denying all evidence to the contrary is just... well... stupid.
Why are there not more Orlando candids from AWE, it seems like there were piles from DMC but there seems to be a current shortage of new snaps and it makes me sad.
But luckily my other guilty celebrity pleasure was out and about this week.
First at the TCAs with his ridiculously adorable pocket-sized girlfriend, towering over some kids from some indecipherable phenomenon.
And then he shows up at some network thing and proceeds to be adorable with a lion cub a couple of hot chicks. Seriously. And hee, he's totally sitting down for all of these, and the girls, aren't.
So, overall, nothing important to say but, hey, that's why I have an lj.
