Proposal to tax drivers by the mile
I cannot not even begin to understand how this will be beneficial to the state of California. While it would decrease the overall number of miles people drive, it will be damaging to inner state commerce (especially the Trucking industry) and removes the incentive for people to buy hybrid cars. Also, for people like me who have to drive in order to get anywhere, this tax can become highly regressive.
Grr, well...any thoughts.
