I have been taking Friday nights a little easy as of late. Friday is Leslie Night as the man I am dating likes his Friday nights to himself. But last night was an exception to the rule (as of late anyway). I went to a closing party for an artist in residence at the de Young museum. He is a friend of my Marcie and as it turns out, a very old friend and former roommate of mine from the days of Ithaca NY!
He was a physicist and a nerdy boy, now he is a burner galore and got a residency program integrating kitsch and mechanics. I liked the show, it was good to see Dan/Cosmo. He proposed to his girlfriend last night which was totally sweet.
Marcie and her kookie friend Ralph took us to the sound and light room by James Turrell. I knew nothing of it and enjoyed taking the circuitous route to get there.
Then i hung out with my friend Emily who is recovering from knee surgery, Yes, stayed up way to late, imbibed as I do with these friends and generally, was a naughty, frisky, silly Leslie.
