A marked man
On the drive across the country, I apparently had a mishap with my inkjet all-in-one and it spilled ink. The black cartridge didn't rupture, it just spilled a bit along the inside of the chassis.
At least, I thought it was limited to inside the chassis. The cords were also soaked in ink so I got ink on my hands before I realised what had happened.
Printer ink comes off much more easily from plastic than from skin. It also comes off much more easily when left dry than trying to wash it off. In short, heading to the washroom and grabbing a bar of soap was likely the worst thing to do. The ink on my fingers has penetrated the skin, possibly the flesh and the bone and goes as far down as the fingertips of my immortal soul. It ain't, to sum up, coming out any time soon.
