There's a shop in Doraville that's selling a Korean cousin of a fruit I loved as a kid, in CR. They've never been available in USA. I'm totally buying a bag of these soon. In Spanish, they're known as mamónes. The Korean version is very similar except that they're round where ours are oval-shaped, and the skin is somewhat powdery feeling where ours are smooth. Another strange distinction is the pit. The Korean ones are black, ours are greenish-white. They call them (from what I can understand) lon-gan.
Yay for happiness of fruit brought by my favourite co-worker. =)
