Obligatory DC update
Dark City - fantastik!!
Went up to Edinburgh with Amaryllis, stayed at Ligacheva's along with her, djprocyon and eternal_ivy. I've said it before, but uber thanks to Luke for puting up with us/me for the whole time! Was much fun.
Friday, didn't like Trauma Pet, Glis were good and Panzer AG were ok. Wasn't hugely impressed, but not unimpressed either. I wore a rather crap lolita type trad outfit which was probably just as well, it helped some people recognise me from night in Dumfries like the guy from Conspiracy [can't remember name] and Alix from 616 Abortions. Kryogenix was fun until they started with the pounding hardcore/gabber while I had a headache.
By saturday, I was in much pain, constantly. Mostly in my feet but also my head. I was excited about my outfit as I'd planned it for ages and had a friend make me a top for it. However, the top had some material the wrong way round, white stitching on black material and actually got smoothie spilt on it in my bag anyway. Just as well I'd decided I could remake it myself on the bus on the way up. Almost successful... with safety pins. Loved my long crin falls and Cyberdog skirt [that got ripped]. Anyway, Soman!! Just, wow!! Totally amazing, almost the highlight of the weekend. Was still in uber amounts of pain but managed to dance a little. Must thank Shoe for his dancefloor etiquette - actually giving me room to dance, unlike most people, cheers! Ascension was good downstairs after.
Sunday, wore red camo trousers with my firey coloured foam falls I made, so proud of them! In comes THE highlight of my weekend - INSEKT, amazing... was totally blown away by their sound. I was in most pain by this time but had many pain killers by then too, and I said many times, but I'd sacrifice walking for dancing with beats like that any day! Practically limped into the hall, but managed to bounce dancing, was just amazing, haven't felt that good about music for ages. I almost couldn't breath at some points but I was happy leaning against the wall with the bass going through my head. Was excellent use of live drums too. Combichrist were of course great, but I got bored and was too sore after about 6 songs. I heard Intruder Alert and was satisfied. The guest dj's downstairs nearly killed me with amazing tunes, did a perfect stomp from the stage for Chrome. Also enjoyed Inquisition upstairs for chilling out, which I wasn't allowed to do from a few of the tunes played.
Great weekend, good to see many people again.. Apologies I was so Meh and crap from being in pain so much to those who had to put up with me!
