That is the first actual hope I've had for the future of LJ since the end of last May.

I am much happier with that than I expected to be. (In the sense of "Actual serious 'hey, wow, good choices'.)

danah boyd is fabulous, too. I have been avidly reading her blog since someone put me on to her a few months ago: she has a really good understanding of how online community works, and why the bits that are difficult are really important, and she's very articulate about a number of related issues.

Oh yeah, Esther's been doing such a great job of running the internet since the death of Jon Postel (the internet would have been a better place had he lived), a better fit for the CEO spot, if they want to keep screwing up.

Lawrence is at least a good guy, don't know about Danah, and of course, things were better when Brad was running things.
