Today's Video Haul

We went to Rasputin's used record/cd store. We found stuff we didn't know had been released on DVD. Go us! Dad & the kids also got a heap of movies that I'd rather not think about but I'm sure I'll see too many times. (I believe I talked 'em out of Garfield II, but my memory of that part of the store is blurry.)

Our acquisitions:
Silence of the Lambs director's cut (we only had a video, and it was dying)
Dead Man, starring Johnny Depp
V for Vendetta
A Day at the Races (Marx Brothers)
Shock Treatment, 25th anniv. edition (which we knew was out on DVD, but hadn't yet found)
Liquid Sky (yaaaaaay! Have been looking for *years* for a better version than the taped-off-latenight-cable one!). I have the soundtrack on vinyl.
Fritz the Cat (so, one of the kids saw the cartoony cover, and said, "what's that?" and Rob said, "X rated cartoons." And she said, "what's that?" And Rob said,"that means they have sex." And the kid said, "Eeeew!")

and da prize:
Santa Sangre. A Spanish horror movie. I'm hoping the fact that the title's in Spanish, instead of translated to "Holy Blood," means that it's Spanish with subtitles 'cos I'd rather not see it mangled by translation. One of the few movies I've ever seen that gave me actual nightmares.

With a problem: our DVD players won't touch it. European region. Ummm... help? Anyone know how to convert a disc from Euro to US? (I knew it was likely to have region issues; I also know that I can track down people who can help with that.)
