10 Things You Can Do With Your Free Pepsi V-Gifts
In the most recent post at news, we're informed that our new corporate overlords LJ's new sponsorship partner, Pepsi, has created some special stuff just for LJ in the hopes that you'll want to try their new drink that has zero calories, ginseng and extra caffeine.
Specifically, Diet Pepsi Max v-gifts. (And some other stuff, but this is about the v-gifts.)
And everyone--EVERYONE--at Livejournal can give 10 of these per week, until September 15th.
So... the question arises, "who really deserves a virtual Diet Pepsi Max? Who needs a picture of soda on his or her profile? With whom shall I share this special message?" I offer the following options:

- LiveJournal staff members, like coffeechica, who knows that it's "not a crime to want to be thin!" And don't forget theljstaff... incognito staff members need appreciation too!
- Caffeine and cola appreciation communities like soda_pups and caffeinejunkies. Help Pepsi convince these people that theirs is the best cola... and maybe inspire other soda companies to offer their own free v-gifts in response! We need more advertisements corporate-sponsored gifts!
- Pro-Coca-cola communities like cokefan and ru_cola--let them know that there are other soft drinks! After all, maybe they're only drinking Coke because they don't realize how wonderful Pepsi is!
- That guy who argued with you yesterday, the one who tried to drag you into a flamewar... tell him to cool off with a nice cold Diet Pepsi Max!
- Anyone who replied to the news post with "it's no big deal--get over it!" Show them they don't have to be passively tolerant--they can be active participants in this ad campaign sponsorship project!
- U.S. Political communities like liberal, politicsforum and debate. Remind them that, whatever our ideological differences, we can all enjoy the all-American taste of Diet Pepsi Max!
- Your ex. Boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, roommate... let them know you're not carrying a grudge, and you're happy to provide them with a gift you're sure will delight them as much as it delights you!
- Anti-Porn communities like anti_porn, porn_rage, and actuallyagainst. Let them know what you think of their policies by offering a wholesome alternative to the activities they hate! If you're feeling really inspired, you can offer suggestions on how they could use a can or bottle, instead of watching porn!
