Thank you

You know sometimes I drift off, but I never forget where home is. Hello, my friends. So many of you have been there for me over some very tough times and I've not forgotten about you. You all are very dear to me. Thank you for being there. {{hugs}}

Each year gets a little easier emotionally. And having friends here and locally really makes a difference. I cannot deny, I'm going through depression right now. I've been tempted to do holiday_wishes again, but I'm not going to ask when I can't give. I look forward to the day when I can be the sender and bring some joy to someone's life on that end of it, though. Gifts are nice, and I enjoy giving and receiving, but greed is not.

Yesterday the Goddess Group at my church had a Christmas party. I was excited about it, but my ride fell through, and I wasn't able to find another ride. But I was okay with that. However, a little after 9:00 I got a call from my friend Brenda, who said I was missed at the party, but that she had leftovers to bring me. She was there within 20 minutes, goodies in hand, as well as a lovely card from another friend, Darlene, who is kind of like an adopted mother to me. Later on Colleen messaged me on Words with Friends to let me know I was missed.

I think I got more from not being able to go than if I'd been there, strange as it sounds. It was a reminder that I am loved.

That is the reason for the season for people to let their light shine during the darkest part of the year and share the love.

And I am grateful to you, my friends, online and offline. You all do make a difference.

christmas
