And so we come to another June. It really is amazing how quick the year goes by sometimes. Especially to me it seems to go crazy quick when you think of it in terms of footy seasons... this weekend will be round 11 in the AFL, which means only 11 more rounds of the home & away season, which will take us to the end of August, then 4 rounds of finals & grand final and then all of a sudden it's October! But for the time being I'll just have to put up with the cool, wet weather and carry on.
Not too much news from my side of things... I've re-applied for air traffic control, but won't hear much more about that until October. Not doing regular breakfast radio has been nice, but I do miss it. I've been doing some fill-in shifts for people lately, but a mid-week 8-10pm shift just isn't the same rush as breakfast.
My brother's getting married in the US in January, in North Carolina. I've only been to the States once (apart from flying through airports) and that was for a 2-week family vacation in LA & Hawaii back in '91, so it'll be good to get over to the east coast and go see DC & NYC. And drop by Canada while I'm on the continent :)
