i invented a game today called 'diving for prepositions of place'. basically, you make word cards with them. put them on the floor on one side of the room and put the kids in two lines on the other side. call out a word and the kids have to run and grab it.the kid who dosent' get the card has to act out 'behind, under' with a conveniently placed chair. hilarious to watch them fight over a laminated card. he he he.

not much happening. watched some 'batman and robin' in my TB (middle schoolers) class, to emphasize 'heros and villains'. after two weeks i can finally spell villain.

i realized the other day that i am offically a grammar goddess. all of my life i have been excellent at analyzing language for meaning, but terrible at picking apart the structure. after a few years of teaching, i can start arguments based on what tense someone is using. "ah, yes, but you used the present continuous, so you mean that...". disgusting, it is.

we have a lunchtime challenge in the office tomorrow. for an hour, every one must talk like yoda in the third person, but with the cadance of elvis. should be a hoot. ah, the wily ESL teacher. always shenanagians. and boy did i spell that wrong.

going to beijing in two days. all by myself. first trip alone. besides mini road trips from baton rouge to new orleans and the like. it will be cool. hopefully gonna get some sticky green. if not, well, it's been 6 months anyway and i ain't fell down yet. in that case i will spend tons of cash in the foreign language bookstore. maybe even see some sites.

gotta go plan my last lesson. international banking vocab. oooh, the excitement. i have to think of something more exciting than the crap in the book or they'll lynch me. peace and love.
