Since it’s vaguely related… Here’s a photo from midway into the Goku’s birthday feast. 2 types of noodles, gyoza, meat buns, and the foil is hiding a monkey bread muffin (≧∪≦)
Friday’s cosplay. I didn’t make Nataku’s sword like I wanted to, so nothing new there. But Shime’s Sanzo is totally new! That fan was amazing. It made an amazing TWACK! noise, but didn’t really hurt at all.
Also, the gold card of the gods. Amusing story: at some point the gold card and her soft pack of Marlboro reds fell out of her in-sleeve pocket, and someone turned them in to Lost and Found. They didn’t even take a cigarette!
And look at the sutra! When I cosplay Ukoku, I am so giving Shime my sutra to Sanscrit-ify.
The other Sanzo. It was very odd to be rushed by a happily grinning Sanzo every time we saw her (≧∪≦)
This is the Hakkai who made me smile. He forgot the headband when he changed specially for this photo on Saturday, but he had the Hakkai attitude down. You make me happy, sir.
These guys, though, just terrified me.
At this point we had changed to go to the ball, which spawned lots of talk and giggles about Concubine Sanzo and High-roller Hakkai. Which then spawned a debauched photoshoot after the rave. I’m going to make a separate post with the more suggestive photos, so I don’t hurt anyone’s brain who just wanted plain con photos (^_^)
We managed to finish the fwoosh sutra by Saturday, so all day Shime was tripping over the Scarf of Doom, as she called it. And I managed to finangle Hazel’s hat into submission! Sort of. I kinda unintentionally stabbed a bunch of people with it, oops (^_^;;)
…I had to.
Just like I had to take a picture of this SoiFong and her parents. She was adorable!
Hehe, I caught Zoe while she was eating an apple.
And dude! Kanoe! I hadn’t seen him in years, and then Zoe tells me the loligoth guy towering over everyone was him…
That was a fun con. Next year Shime and I are planning to go as Koumyou and Ukoku, and maybe use the Gojyo and Hakkai cosplay we’re planning for Halloween. (≧∪≦)
