Oh the dorkitude! It's amazing!
Well, I was going to post a picture of the feast Shime and I made for Goku's birthday this past Sunday, but that didn't go as planned, as you can tell (^_^) But I made yakisoba and freezer gyoza, and my mom helped me with the monkey bread muffins; Shime made meatbuns at my request, and another fried noodle dish (I liked hers better); and we had a feast on Monday with the lunch gang in celebration of the bottomless pit. Now I can't wait for Hakkai's birthday in September, when Shime and I can make some sort of elegant meal featuring pig flesh and wine. I want to make heart-shaped kappa maki for Gojyo's birthday in early November, since I found heart-shaped sushi maker things at Shirokiya. As for Sanzo's birthday, hmm, something with lots of animal flesh and liquor, I suspect XD
But! on to the real reason for this post. KawaiiKon on Friday! I'm really excited, because I'll have a Saiyuki cosplay buddy! Shime's gonna be Sanzo on Friday and Saturday. We made her heavy robes of DOOM! with handy-dandy inner-sleeve pocket for her Marlboro Reds (soft pack) and gold card of the Bank of the West the gods. And we're still working on it, but by Saturday at least, she will have fwoosh! sutra with which to Makai Tenjyou any youkai we come across. Or, alternately, to explain the bobbly gold sparklies I'll have sticking up out of the back of my Hazel cape if I can get them to work (^__^) That's Saturday though. Friday I'll be Nataku, and since I made her read ciceqi's fic If ( part 1 part 2) and the optional sequel And (I can't find my link), we're still sort of a pair, only Goku's off eating somewhere, perhaps.
Also, this is the first con that I know I'm going to meet people I know at! Well, considering it's on an island, not that big a stretch, but still. I look forward to seeing people I know and goggling at them in clothes I never thought I'd see them wear. Never fear (or fear, depending) I shall post pictures of con! Eventually. XD And Kris said he'd do a photoshoot with Shime and me in cosplay later on, so there will be those photos as well, when that all goes down.
Hee! excited. I hope I can sleep. I have an exam tomorrow. Oh well. Cosplay! Yay!
