This season saw an amazing turnout for the first round of Bulletproof Elfscouts 2015, with 36 stories written by 30 Agents totaling up to 412,705 words of hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and mission reports. An amazing feat!
Though this was the first time this exchange was held, all of the pairings in Bangtan Boys were represented, as well as two crossover pairings. The most popular pairing represented was a tie, between Jin/Suga and Jimin/Jungkook ranking in at 5 stories each, with Suga/V hot on their heels with 4 fics.
crooked love, straight line down by: dollyeodollyeo for: onyuonyu Jin/Suga R, 19,060 words There's something sad and telling about how the only times Yoongi really sees Seokjin is when he's on his back and aching all over - two things that, while he'd like to relive in bed (or on the couch, whatever, he's not picky), occur mostly when he's doped up on pain medication and strapped to a hospital bed instead.
alone with the stars in your eyes by: marcelmoon_things for: brokenstarskowaretahoshi V/J-Hope PG, 10,906 words Burned out and feeling lost, Hoseok spends his last few days off-planet alone on a farspace assignment, and meets a boy who reminds him why he had his eyes on the stars in the first place.
Sorry But I Need to Have You by: eightninetwoeightninetwo for: EVERYONE Jungkook/Jimin PG-13, 4,563 words Jeongguk's never one to back down from a dare. But when said dare involves making out with Park Jimin, Jeongguk finds himself wanting it to be more than just that.
wasted and wanted by: offthebeat for: xiujaeminxiujaemin Jungkook/Jimin/V PG-13, 4,710 words jeongguk should've known better than to trust his decision-making skills, especially when jimin, taehyung and drinking are included in the picture.
when it’s cold outside by: shrdmdnssftw for: troubleseasontroubleseason Jin/Suga PG-13, 10,397 words "There’s that sunny eye smile again and Yoongi has to look away for just a moment, thinks about how Seokjin shines so bright." or, Yoongi's got sunshine on a cloudy day.
12.27.2015 ~ Day 4
you make my heart beat (faster) by: onyuonyu for: dollyeodollyeo Jin/Suga PG-13, 124,347 words Everything's going too fast. One step forward, and Seokjin's tendering his resignation from a company he's been servicing for eight years. Two steps, and he's going out for interviews, reviewing a job offer, signing a contract, on the first bus to Sallim-dong. Three steps, and he finds himself trapped in an elevator with an ex who ran away from him years ago and with his faith in humanity in tow. Enter the agency's Chief Creative Officer, and everything slows the fuck down.
化け物 by: daisyillusivebluedreaming for: the_resolverthe_resolver Suga/V; Rap Monster/Jin; Jungkook/Jimin PG-13, 3,095 words Baka, fool in Japanese, sounds a lot like bakemono, monster, sometimes. Maybe there's not much of a difference.
12.28.2015 ~ Day 5
a few strings attached by: potteryassan for: offthebeat Jungkook/Jimin R, 3,171 It’s not without a certain amount of professional and personal horror that Jeon Jungkook realizes that he has a crush. That it's on his best friend/fuck buddy really doesn't help matters at all.
the greatest pretenders (forget to remember) by: skyboundribbonsong for: airplanewishesairplanewishes J-Hope/V R, 4,731 words Taehyung makes bad (mostly harmless) decisions all the time but accidentally breaking into someone else's car takes the cake. Out of all of the consequences he could have imagined coming out of this, a fake relationship was not one of them.
bass line by: vhopium for: skyboundribbonsong V/Suga NC-17, 2,398 words Yoongi's reaction to things he categorizes as 'annoying' is probably disturbing, but at least his dick is happy.
Happy Holidays! by: agent_m for: unit_q Jin/Suga; Jin & V PG, 2,104 words Holidays are always a little bit crazy. Or a lot crazy. Or not crazy enough, according to Taehyung.
01.03.2015 ~ Day 9
someday we might by: onyuonyu for: EVERYONE J-Hope/Rap Monster PG-13, 5,239 words When Yoongi said before that he would do everything to ruin Namjoon's life after Namjoon had 'gifted' him with a year-long membership in the gym that the 'object of Yoongi's wildest and kinkiest desires' frequented, Namjoon didn't think Yoongi was actually serious.
this is fact, not fiction by: conditionally for: vhopium V/Jimin PG-13, 13,043 words Park Jimin just wants to live his life peacefully. Fate has different plans for him when it throws Taehyung into his life. (Where Jimin can see the colors of people's' souls but he can't see Taehyung's.)
if the time between us gets a little uneven by: dollyeodollyeo for: EVERYONE Jungkook/Jin/Jimin; J-Hope/V R, 3,225 words "My brother is in a polygamous relationship with my two childhood friends," Taehyung blurted out. "And I may or may not need ice cream to recover from the trauma."
warm and salt by: brokenstarsasukaflying for: EVERYONE Jungkook/V PG-13, 2,379 words "The tulips are pretty," he tells his sister, lying in the bed, quiet, the white sheets like hills and slopes of snow, untouched after the first snowfall.
01.05.2015 ~ Day 11
maybe in another universe by: monsterplaza for: countingpaths V/Jimin NC-17, 18,577 words Jimin wakes up four times, in four different parallel universes. Annoyingly (or thankfully?) enough, his ridiculous clown of a best friend \and maybe the subject of his nighttime fantasies Kim Taehyung happens to be a fixture in Jimin’s life, every single damn time.
ghost in my lungs by: doctor_r for: administrator_p J-Hope/Jimin PG-13, 2,965 words And I love you so much, I'm going to let you kill me.-Florence + the Machine
Swagger Walk, Booty Talk by: unit_q for: director_x Jungkook/J-Hope; Jae/V PG, 8,321 words Freshman year is like March. It comes in like a lion and the God of war.
I came up with the idea for this exchange in July 2014, in the middle of my college apps process, thinking it would be a fantastic idea to plan to run the first round more than a year and a half later.
As you can see from the very rocky start this round had (which I take full responsibility for, of course), the year-and-a-half-later me didn't agree.
A lot of things happened over the elapsed time that drew me out of fandom-by the time I finished running the second round of the first exchange I founded, I was exhausted and already planning on stepping down from modding entirely. But of course, I didn't want to break my promise to hold this exchange.
Once the exchange started, I was quite overwhelmed with adapting to college life as well as a new workload and other various family and social issues. Of course, though I lashed out at the time, I agree that it was my responsibility to either ensure the exchange was still running smoothly or step down and admit that I had bitten off more than I could chew.
Thus, I get to the main point of my note. I am eternally grateful to the mods who stepped up to take this exchange off my hands. To A and R, who I knew before as good friends and who immediately stepped in to help me with re-doing assignments after various technical issues caused me to lose much of my progress, and to E, who stepped in and emailed me volunteering to co-mod after seeing the struggle I had on Twitter.
Furthermore, at the time, I had still agreed to take some responsibility for the exchange. Instead of doing this, however, I continued to struggle to budget time for anything exchange related until I stepped out of the process entirely, which I apologize for sincerely. Yet the rest of the mods picked up the work without complaint and did an absolutely incredible job of doing so.
So, to all of you, I am so so so grateful. You lifted a huge weight from my shoulders when I was feeling lost, and did so without protest. You ran this exchange better than I ever would have, and I'm so happy that this exchange-your exchange-turned out to be a success. All the props in the world to you, and thank you again for being so selfless.
Thank you to all our writers and readers for participating, commenting, and making this possible.
This was a bit too apologetic and self-centered, perhaps, but I feel that there is no other way to express the magnitude of my gratefulness (not that this really does it, either).
Did we, the JAEGR Task Force, know quite what was going to happen when the Bulletproof Elfscouts Initiative began? Probably not, but that’s not to say we we’re excited, anticipating, and optimistic about the efforts of our agents, our support network, and all of the lurking aids in the shadows. To say it has been a wild ride would be an accurate representation of this journey, and everyone, everyone has made this exchange what it is.
It’s been incredibly fun, with the JAEGR’s lifting up and working with participants who have been more than helpful and encouraging with us to make this a success. We’d like to thank everyone who was involved, writers, recipients, pinch hitters, readers, cheerleaders, betas, cookie writers, and hand holders. Everyone please give yourselves a huge pat on the back for your hard work.
We also would like to turn to each other and give a pat on the back, because as a team we’ve pulled each other through hard times and worse times and spend many hours up surviving on the break room coffee machines. So, also, thank you. You made this worth the hard work, and here we are, at the end of this first chapter, wiser, stronger, and looking into a bright future and more projects to come.
Thank you~
Agent M: Agents, you have all worked hard. Participants, you have also worked hard. Supporters, readers, and those who forever hold their peace, you have also done well. Good job.
Commander C: This was honestly such a great experience and I’m extremely happy to have met and worked with all of you. It’s been such a wild ride, but we really all made it through (for the most part, with all limbs intact. For the most part.) There were hiccups, but what’s a great mission without a few hiccups and explosions to keep us on our toes?
I’d like to really thank the JAEGR Task Force, because while I know it’s our job to work together to make sure all of the Agent’s get back and the missions are completed, it’s hard work. You all made it worth the while.
The real gold lies with our Agents. You are all wonderful, hard working, glorious creatures of success, crawling your way through your assignments until you rose your bloodied hands in victorious cries of jubilation. You did it! You made it! I couldn’t be more proud of you! Give yourselves all a huge pat on the back, because you’re worth it :)
Director X: Every good turn deserves to be examined and evaluated, made satisfactory. In the end, we all stand here, after the trials and tribulations, and can see clearly the path behind us, and the road before us, and recognize what has been done and what must come to pass.
You have done well.
Unit Q: THIS WAS THE GREATEST THING. Okay, so, first I just want to say that everyone is awesome and no one can say otherwise. No assignment is easy, and everyone kind of felt like dying at some point (I did, just saying) but you know what? No one did, and that’s probably the greatest thing about it.
While I know you cool crocodiles didn’t get to talk to me all that much, I’ve been here :) Watching :) Waiting :) and cheering on from the sidelines because you are all seriously such superstars for getting here. It’s been awesome, as usual, to work the The JAEGR’s, the Task Force going all out to make sure things go well, and we’re all really damn proud of ourselves. Therefore, by extension, be damn proud of yourselves. In the words of Simba (or something) “we are one.”
Just remember that. We are one. Stay awesome.
Doctor R: Though I was brought in late in the game, this a great run! I didn’t really know what I got myself into (still don’t, and Q sucks at explaining things), but it’s been very fun regardless. Thank you so much to everyone, and I hope you had as much fun as I did!
I look forward to seeing everyone again!
Administrator P: This was beautiful, in the constructed sense of the term. You are all beautiful, in the holistic, literal, and abstract sense of the term. I am also beautiful, the parallel meaning of the term. Stay beautiful, my ducklings. Until we meet again. [From the cluttered desk of Unit Q: Troubleseason troubles]
The author, who you know now as troubleseason, wrote this as a cookie. In their words, they “never expected a cookie to blow up into a branch of Paris Baguette”. For clarification, they wrote a full fic for their recipient, The Earth Will Have Us, which totally abided by the rules set by The JAEGR Task Initiative.
I have been working with troubleseason, and they ran into some stuff during posting (as you do, y’know). We said it was cool to post the cookie in segments and had planned on it being finished. But, just as shit is part of life, it happens, and instead they will be posting the last part of it AFTER reveals. Spoiler alert, I guess.
Stuff happens, missions get jeopardized, and the story will be finished. Just think of it as an exercise in patience and let the anticipation build before the explosion or something. It’s what I do.
Over the last few months we, the JAEGR Task Force, have had the privilege to get to know our amazing undercover agents. Now that our missions are complete and our agents unmasked, it is high time that you are given the opportunity to get to know one another. After all, a unit is only as strong as the alliances made and maintained. This is also an opportunity for our perspective agents, comrades, and voices in the shadows to speak out and step forward. Networking is the name of productivity, so please, by all means, take part and get to know one another.
Please feel free to use the form below to fill out a brief profile to put on file for the other agents to peruse. Simply copy and paste the form below in a comment, and begin to converse.

Thus concludes Round 1 of the Bulletproof Elfscouts. Before we officially sign off from this event, we would like to introduce a new member of the JAEGR Task Force: Inquisitor F, who will be updating later with more news and information, so keep your senses sharp and eyes open.
As you dismiss yourselves, please take a moment to fill out this survey before you return to your cubicles.
Please collect all explosives, handguns, absent limbs, and lightsabers at the door. We don't want them. We have enough.
Stay tuned for more information from The JAEGR Task Force. Stay tuned, and stay alive.
