When you tear out the lemon balm, can I have it? I like the smell and I've been thinking about making nice-smelling sachets to give my customers. And possibly just put around the apartment all winter.

Heh. He might want to run it by me first, considering that I was the one who planted the lemon balm and this is the first I heard that *he* decided to pull it out.

I wonder what the FDA regs are on "ice cream". What do these "products" lack or have that disqualifies them?

I've started getting pints of "Five" made by Haagen-Dazs. The idea is that there are only five ingredients: milk, cream, eggs, sugar, and whatever flavor the ice cream is.

I particularly like the ginger.

"Ice cream" has to contain 10% or more of milkfat, which means actual cream. "Frozen dairy desserts" use lower-fat milk (real or powdered) and then add vegetable fat. Saves a little money, I guess.
