I taught the electronic textiles session of our rapid prototyping class on Wednesday and that was fun.  Teaching computer geeks to sew is entertaining.  We have conductive fabric and thread, so they were makeing soft circuits.  At the end of the class we had several half finished stuffed animals with glowing eyes and two fabric switches.  Good times!   I keep meaning to sewing something really cool, but time is a very limiting factor.  My electronics skills are also fairly limited.  Maybe I will make stuffed animals with glowing eyes.  Evil glowing eyes are definely not for the nieces though.

After a long week back home, I am looking forward to the much anticipated weekend.  Maybe this will be the weekend that I make the porch garden happen.  I think that I will go visit the granola hippies at their gardening store and get some tomatoes and stuff.  I went to a cheese making class at the local goat farm (run by the garden hippies) and they continue to send me helpful email updates.   I like granola hippies, but I sure do miss the cowboy hippies of Texas.     My todo list for this weekend includes everything that I've been meaning to do for the last six months.  Hopefully I will cross off more than one thing.  Of course I might just sit on the couch and drink some beer.  Its hard to say.
